Wow! Our first 'week' of being open wrapped up yesterday, and we couldn't be happier. We were trying for a 'soft opening', however with social media, it's hard to keep things quiet these days. Lots of great memories came out of the past few days since opening this past Wednesday. From selling out on our first day, to seeing all of the happy faces of friends, family and satisfied customers, we have been reminded of why we decided to embark on this adventure in the first place. Serving community has been a big part of our lives, and we are happy to finally be in Tusket, serving the people in the place we call home.
Full parking lots, full plates, lots 0f laughs, and even a few tears have filled up the past four days. With so many great experiences it has been hard to settle on what to share in this update. In the end, we decided that what was most important was to send a giant THANK YOU to our amazing staff. Over the past couple of weeks they have been patiently waiting for us to open our doors. Now that we're open, their eagerness to do a good job, and willingness to learn from us and each other, has filled our hearts with pride. Congrats to all of you for making it through week one - we are fortunate to be working with each and every one of you.
Finally, I'd like to thank all of you who have come to see us at the shop, who have voiced words of support over the past few weeks and months, and who have constantly reminded us that we can do this - now that our doors are open, we promise to do our best to constantly work to improve on delivering you the best service and food possible, while keeping prices reasonable (nothing like setting reasonable expectations, eh?).
